Microstructure and texture evolution of ECAP-processed Mg-Ce alloy during isothermal annealing

Static recrystallization and grain growth behaviors were investigated in Mg-0.3Ce (wt%) alloy processed by equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) for N = 1 (?eq 0.9), 2 1.9), 4 3.9) passes at 300 °C using route Bc annealed 450 5, 30, 60, 180 min. The results demonstrated that the microstructure texture are strongly related to strain level, second particles distribution, fraction of dynamic (DRX) during ECAP. At low (1 ECAP pass), was very heterogeneous development changed with increasing annealing time due absence sufficient nucleation sites pinning effect particles. medium (2 passes), homogeneous, however, unstable mainly limited DRX processing leading preferred growth. high (4 homogeneous retained throughout entire duration significant amount DRX.
